Purpose
The purpose of this memorandum is to provide information to the Franklin Board of Mayor and Aldermen (BOMA) concerning the grading permit with TDOT (COF Contract No. 2017-0359) for temporary access from Mack Hatcher Parkway (SR 397) for the Water Reclamation Facility Upgrades construction project.
Background
Bids for the expansion of the Water Reclamation Facility will be opened in January 2018. Part of the bid includes the construction of a right-in/right-out access to/from Mack Hatcher Parkway to be used as the construction entrance. Mack Hatcher Parkway is a State-owned, limited-access roadway so all work is required for approval by TDOT. The entrance will be removed once construction is complete and the control access fence reinstalled. The permit will be with the City of Franklin but the required bond and insurance shall be provided by the Contractor.
Financial Impact
This will be part of the bid for the Water Reclamation Facility Upgrades project.
