Purpose
The purpose of this memo is to provide information to the Franklin Board of Mayor and Aldermen (BOMA) concerning the Final Change Order for the Construction Contract (COF Contract No. 2014-0301) for the Fieldstone Farms Pump Station No. 1 Upgrade with J.S. Haren.
Background
The BOMA approved the construction contract for the Fieldstone Farms Pump Station No. 1 Upgrade with J.S. Haren on February 24, 2015, in the amount of $1,592,000.00. The construction notice to proceed stated that the authorized 365 calendar work days began on July 21, 2015 and ended on July 20, 2016. Change Order No. 1 was approved on November 10, 2015 by the BOMA to include a contingency and raise wetwell walls, valve vault walls, electrical room slab and a manhole near the electrical room slab (total amount of increase = $109,522.00). Construction on the project is complete.
This change order is the final reconciling change order and project closeout. The contractor requests a time extension of 48 calendar days and the project total budget will be decreased by $ 125,354.12.
