Purpose
The purpose of this memorandum is to provide information to the Franklin Board of Mayor and Aldermen (BOMA) concerning Resolution 2015-43, a resolution awarding the FY2016 On-Call Annual Contract for Traffic Signal and Interstate Lighting Modifications and Repairs (COF Contract No. 2015-0085) to S&W Contracting Company, Inc.
Background
The Streets Department utilizes several on-call contractors to construct improvements and repairs to City infrastructure. As the title implies, the On-Call Annual Contract for Traffic Signal and Interstate Lighting Modifications and Repairs is specifically used to modify and repair to traffic signals and interstate lighting owned and operated by the City.
Bids for the On-Call Annual Contract for Traffic Signal and Interstate Lighting Modifications and Repairs were received and opened on June 30, 2015. These bids contained unit prices, which generally include the labor, materials, and equipment, that are necessary for the construction of certain improvements and repairs to City infrastructure. After an analysis of the competitive bid process, City Staff recommends awarding the On-Call Annual Contract for Traffic Signal and Interstate Lighting Modifications and Repairs to the low bidder, S&W Contracting Company, Inc.
