Purpose
The purpose of this memorandum is to provide information to the Franklin Board of Mayor and Aldermen (BOMA) concerning the adoption of new policy and procedures for the equestrian trails at the Park at Harlinsdale Farm opening Spring 2017.
Background
The Parks Department received the Recreation Trails Program Grant from the State of TN TDEC - Recreational Services Division to construct a canoe launch, trailhead, equestrian trail and park amenities at the Park at Harlinsdale Farm. The final component is to adopt the equine trail policy and guidelines for the equine trail portion of the project. The policy and guidelines will establish standards for each park user while on the course and to those who may be interested in future participation.
Financial Impact
There is no financial impact associated with this specific request. The total grant was originally $130,000 with an 80-20% match.
