Purpose
The purpose of this memorandum is to provide information to the Franklin Board of Mayor and Aldermen (BOMA) concerning Resolution 2018-75
Background
In 2017, the BOMA approved the Colletta Park Planned Unit Development (PUD), which is located south of Murfreesboro Road and east of Carothers Parkway. As part of the development, the City required the extension of sanitary sewer to serve the development. The extension of this sewer main is included in the City’s Sewer Basin Master Plan. To make these improvements, the City will be required to obtain an easement from the adjacent property owner. Should acquisition efforts fail, staff requests approval of Resolution 2018-75 to acquire the necessary right-of-way and easements.
