Purpose

The purpose of this memo is to provide information to the Franklin Board of Mayor and Aldermen (BOMA) concerning the additional tasks requested by the City of Franklin Parks Department to Barge, Waggoner, Sumner and Cannon regarding the Parks Master Plan.

Background

In order to meet the needs of a growing population and to continue to make the City an attractive place to call home for residents and businesses alike, the City of Franklin Parks Master Plan began in the fall of 2014. Due to the desire to incorporate additional public input and further work on proposed revisions to the City’s Parkland Dedication Ordinance, additional meetings and services are being requested to complete the plan for adoption by fall of 2015.

Financial Impact

An addendum to the contract in an amount not to exceed $10,700 is recommended.  The original contract amount for the Parks Master Plan was $130,000.
