The purpose of this memo is to provide information to the Franklin Board of Mayor and Aldermen
(BOMA) concerning Amendment No. 2 to the Professional Services Agreement (PSA) (COF
Contract No. 2014-0177) for the Goose Creek Sanitary Sewer Extension Project, from west of I-65 to
the east side of I-65.
Background
On September 9, 2014, the BOMA approved a PSA with Hethcoat & Davis, Inc. for the preliminary engineering of the Goose Creek Sanitary Sewer Extension Project. This PSA allowed Hethcoat & Davis, Inc. to provide the City with a detailed plan to extend sanitary sewer across I-65. Amendment No. 1 to the PSA, which added the design of a reclaimed water line to the existing sanitary sewer extension project, was approved by the BOMA on September 8, 2015. This proposed Amendment No. 2 will provide for additional construction services, as required by an increased construction period, and will cover permit renewals.
Financial Impact
The cost as negotiated with Hethcoat and Davis, Inc., for the additional engineering services is a total amount not to exceed $26,605.00. This project is to be funded from Sewer Operating Funds.
