body
Purpose
The purpose of this memo is to provide information to the Franklin Board of Mayor and Aldermen
(BOMA) concerning the Amendment No. 1 to the Professional Services Agreement (PSA) (COF
Contract No. 2015-0381) with Smith Seckman Reid, Inc. (SSR) for the Ladd Park Interceptor Sewer Project.
Background
On December 8, 2015, the BOMA approved a PSA (COF Contract No. 2015-0381) with SSR for the engineering design of the Ladd Park Interceptor Sewer Project. This PSA allowed SSR to design the gravity sanitary sewer that will take the Ladd Park temporary pump station offline. This proposed Amendment No. 1 will provide for the additional survey required to complete the design of the gravity sewer line and to include the bidding and construction services as described in Exhibit A that were removed from the original contract.
Financial Impact
The cost for this amendment, as negotiated with SSR, is a total amount not to exceed $69,200. This project is to be funded from Sewer Operating Funds. This amendment, upon approval, would result in a new, not-to-exceed contract amount of $245,800.
