Purpose

The purpose of this memorandum is to provide information to the Franklin Board of Mayor and Aldermen (BOMA) information for consideration regarding an interlocal agreement with Williamson County, Tennessee, the City of Brentwood, Tennessee, and the City of Franklin, Tennessee, for the joint provision of law enforcement services related to vehicle theft and vehicle burglary within the incorporated areas of Williamson County.

 

Background

The three governments listed above are requesting this agreement to provide police services to one another and form a framework of cooperation regarding vehicle thefts and vehicle burglaries and cooperatively address the investigation and enforcement related to these crime issues in the best interest of the public.

 

Financial Impact

Each party shall be responsible for its own cost.
