Purpose
The purpose of this memorandum is to provide information to the Franklin Board of Mayor and Aldermen (BOMA) concerning a discussion regarding the water and sanitary sewer impact fees.
Background
Sanitary sewer and water impact fees are intended to fund growth-related expenses for system and treatment capacity, including the allocation of a proportionate share of prior investments in system and treatment capacity. Staff is currently working with Jackson Thornton to update the Cost of Service Study last performed in 2014, however the impact fees have been developed from previous input from Jackson Thornton and City input.
The attached presentation will outline the current and projected impact fees for discussion.
Financial Impact
At this time, there is not a financial impact as the fee amounts are remaining the same.
Recommendation
