Purpose
The purpose of this memo is to provide information to the Franklin Board of Mayor and Aldermen (BOMA) concerning DRAFT Resolution 2015-45 to award the construction contract for the Century-Beasley Connector Project to Jenco Construction, Inc.
Background
The Century-Beasley Connector Project has been identified as a priority project in the Capital Investment Plan, and generally includes the construction of approximately 500 linear feet of new roadway with curb and gutter, storm infrastructure, and utility coordination. The estimated project cost was $457,000.
On July 8, 2015, the City received sealed bids for the construction of this project and publicly read them aloud. Jenco Construction, Inc., with a bid amount of $399,250.97, was the apparent low bidder.
Financial Impact
Funding for this project will come from the Capital General Obligation Bonds.
