Purpose
The purpose of this memorandum is to provide information to the Franklin Board of Mayor and Aldermen (BOMA) concerning an annexation request for 3 properties of approximately 5.4 total acres along Franklin Road.
Background
These three properties are contiguous to the city limits along the west side of Franklin Road. They are in the Berry’s Chapel Character Area, and the applicant’s desire to keep these properties as single family residential uses would be supported by both the current Land Use Plan and Envision Franklin. The key components to the Draft Plan of Services are that Right-Of-Way will be required to be dedicated should these properties be annexed, and that sewer could be accessed from a point across Franklin Road within the Jackson Lake Subdivision.
Recommendation.rec
Staff recommends initiating the annexation process.
