Background/Staff Comments

Resolution 2017-82 corrects a mapping error to the Envision Franklin Design Concepts Map. Five residential properties located between the Williamson County Soccer Complex and Boyd Mill Avenue were mistakenly added to the Recreation Design Concept.  After Envision Franklin was adopted, a resident of Horton Lane asked the staff why her property was Recreation and not a residential design concept.  Recreation comprises areas of public and private recreational opportunities and institutional facilities like the water treatment plant.  The staff indicated this would be corrected and the properties would be changed from Recreation to the Single-Family Design Concept, which matches the future land-use of the surrounding area.
