SUBJECT: Consideration of Resolution 2016-59, To Be Entitled, "A Resolution Adopting and Updating the Bicentennial Park Master Plan" (8-25-2016 CIC 3-1; 09-27-16 WS, 10-11-16 BOMA 8-0). (CONSENT AGENDA)
Background
The Board of Mayor and Alderman (BOMA) approved Resolution 2016-59, adopting and updating the Bicentennial Park Master Plan, at its meeting on October 11, 2016. The Planning Commission is required by T.C.A. ?13-4-104 to review plans for public streets, parks, buildings, utilities, and other public spaces and provide a recommendation to the BOMA. Resolution 2016-59 that was unanimously by approved by BOMA simply updates the conceptual Master Plan for Bicentennial Park in order for certain elements of the Plan to be able proceed forward in the planning, funding, and design process. Once detailed plans and specifications have been developed, they will be presented to the Planning Commission for additional input and a recommendation to BOMA.
Recommendation
Recommend concurrence/approval of Resolution 2016-59 to the Board of Mayor and Aldermen.
