Discussion of Newly Required Unaccounted Water Schedule
body
Purpose
The purpose of this memo is to provide information to the Franklin Board of Mayor and Aldermen (BOMA) concerning the Unaccounted Water Schedule now required by the Comptroller in the City's Comprehensive Annual Financial Report.

Background
For many years, a schedule for unaccounted water was included in the City's audit report.  Beginning with in 2013, the Comptroller's office now requires a new format for reporting unaccounted for water.  The schedule is the product of the AWWA, and presents more detail than previous reports and in a totally different layout.

Financial Impact
Although Unaccounted Water has a substantial impact on water management, the change in the presentation is a modified method of reporting the statistics.
