Consideration of Schedule Changes for 2016 Committee Meetings

Purpose
The purpose of this memo is to provide information to the Franklin Board of Mayor and Aldermen (BOMA) concerning possible changes in the meeting dates for the Budget & Finance Committee from July through December.
Background
The regular meeting date, which is currently established as the second Tuesday of the month, has some potential conflicts in the months ahead. It may be beneficial to change the dates of the previously scheduled meetings in the months of July, August, October, November and December.

There is no financial impact.
Recommendation

Staff recommends changing the meeting dates in August and October to the third Thursday of the month at 4 pm. Staff also recommends canceling the meeting in July, and combining the November & December meeting into a single date on December 1, at which time the audit report will be presented.
