Purpose
The purpose of this memo is to provide information to the Franklin Municipal Planning Commission (FMPC) concerning a final plat for Aerial Adventure located at 3794 Carothers Parkway.
Project Information
COF Project Number: 4681
Applicant: Sean DeCoster, Civil Site Design Group
Owner: Richland South, LLC Property
Background/Staff Comments
The applicant is proposing to construct an adventure tower and seeks to consolidate two parcels to form a 7.72 acre parcel located off Carothers Parkway, just south of the Williamson County Drivers Testing Center. The site has considerable environmental constraints. Watson Branch and the associated Floodway and Floodway Fringe Overlays dissect the property east to west and the 500 foot Hillside Buffer Overlay make up a significant portion of the site. The applicant is proposing to disturb 1.71 acres to construct a driveway entrance, parking, the adventure tower, and a small commercial building for ticketing, storage, and events.
This type of use is allowed in the GC zoning district and the applicant is dedicating ROW for Carothers PKWY.
