body

Purpose

The purpose of this memorandum is to provide information to the Franklin Board of Mayor and Aldermen (BOMA) concerning a Professional Service Agreement (COF Contract No. 2018-0236) with Revere Control Systems, Incorporated, for the Telemetry System Maintenance Contract.

Background

The City recently performed upgrades to the Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition (SCADA) system for the collection and distribution system through the City’s service area.  Revere Control Systems, Incorporated, performed this work and integrated this system into the City’s network.

The SCADA system requires ongoing maintenance to continue functionality, in addition to the ongoing growth seen within the City.  This contract will also provide support to enhance the knowledge and ability of the City’s operators related to the SCADA system.  This contract will also allow for support in emergency situations, minimizing unnecessary delays because of travel distance.

Financial Impact

The total cost associated with this agreement is for an amount not to exceed of $51,170.00.
