Purpose
The purpose of this memo is to provide the Board with information regarding engineering services for the SR-96 Project.

Background
On March 13, 2014 the Board of Mayor and Aldermen approved Resolution 2014-13 a resolution to adopt the funding plan for the FY 2014-2018 Capital Investment Program.  Included in the plan was the sidewalk construction along Highway 96 East, Mack Hatcher to Pinkerton Park.  The preliminary design is approximately 50% complete and it has been determined that the City will need to purchase approximately 21 easements prior to construction.  In addition Cannon and Cannon will assist with earthwork calculation associated with the SR 96 West Sidewalk and help with coordinating the necessary public meeting.

Financial Impact
The proposed contract cost is for an amount not to exceed $9,600
