SUBJECT:
Presentation of Parks Master Plan Community Survey Results by Barge, Waggoner, Sumner & Cannon and ETC/Leisure Vision.
.
Purpose
The purpose of this memo is to provide information to the Franklin Board of Mayor and Aldermen (BOMA) concerning the final results of the Parks Master Plan Community Survey.

Background
The survey was mailed to a statistically random sample of 3,000 households throughout the City. About two weeks after the survey was mailed, ETC/Leisure Vision began contacting households by phone. Those who indicated that they had not returned the survey were given the option of completing it by phone.

In order to be statistically valid, the goal was to obtain a minimum of 400 completed surveys. This goal
was exceeded with a total of 730 surveys completed. This demonstrates the significant interest that the residents of Franklin have in the future of parks. The survey results have a 95% confidence level with a precision rate of +/-3.6%.

Financial Impact
The survey was a component of the total professional service agreement.

Recommendation
The presentation is for information only and will be incorporated into the overall Parks Master Plan for consideration in late Spring 2015.
