Purpose
The purpose of this memo is to provide information to the Franklin Board of Mayor and Aldermen (BOMA) concerning the status of some of the City's capital projects.

Transportation
A. Mack Hatcher Parkway NW Extension
Key Dates: Design Start - August 14, 2007 (BOMA Approval); Re-Design Completion - October 2017; ROW Start - December 2009; ROW Completion - December 2017; Construction Bid Date - February 2018
Cost: Design - $3,502,501; ROW - $13,397,520 (Provided by TDOT); Construction - $58,700,000 (Provided by TDOT)
Status Update: On May 9, 2017, TDOT released its annual 3-year (FY 2018-2020) transportation program. The construction of Mack Hatcher Parkway, from Highway 96 West (SR-96) to Hillsboro Road (SR-106) is included in the list of projects. It is programmed to receive funding in FY 2018. City and TDOT staff working toward a February letting date.

B. Hillsboro Road Improvements Phase 2 (Independence Square to Mack Hatcher Pkwy)
Key Dates: Design Start - March 24, 2008 (BOMA Approval); Design Completion - March 2015; ROW Start - March 2013; ROW Completion - May 2015; Bid Date - January 2016; Construction Start - April 18, 2016; Original Construction Completion - June 21, 2017 (430 calendar days); Current Construction Completion - November 22, 2017 (CO#1 Additional 154 Calendar Days; 584 Calendar Days based upon delays and utility conflicts)

Cost: Design - $1,324,221 (Design fees include the SR96-IndSq Project as well); ROW - $3,000,000; Construction Bid - $11,995,005.13 ($1,750,000 Reimbursable through State and Federally Approved Funding; Includes AT&T and ATMOS Reimbursable items totaling $441,677.00); Current Construction - $12,049,584.48 (CO#1)
