Purpose
The purpose of this memo is to provide information to the Franklin Board of Mayor and Aldermen (BOMA) concerning a pavement marking and signage plan on 4th Ave South Between Church Street and South Margin Street.
Background
Engineering Staff was approached by residents along 4th Ave South and asked to add pavement markings to the street to improve parking and prevent individuals from block driveways and fire hydrants. The residents completed a petition of the property owners and of the 14 property owners, 12 approved the plan, 1 disapproved the plan and 1 property owner did not respond. In addition to the petition, the Downtown Neighborhood Association (DNA) reviewed and approved the signage and pavement marking plan.
Financial Impact
Less than $5,000 paid out of our approved Street Department budget.
