Purpose
The purpose of this memo is to provide information to the Franklin Board of Mayor and Aldermen (BOMA) concerning commercial refuse and trash disposal rates.
Background
Commercial pick up and disposal rates have not been adjusted for increasing costs in several years. The Sanitation Department is recommending increases in several commercial categories to bring revenues into balance with related expenses.
Financial Impact
Adoption of the ordinance will bring revenues and expenses into balance for commercial customers. The residential rate is not affected.

Staff recommends adoption of the ordinance. The ordinance is still under review by the Law Department, but is expected to be approved by first reading.
