Purpose
The purpose of this memorandum is to forward information to the Board of Mayor and Aldermen (BOMA) that approval on behalf of BOMA was given by the City Administrator to enter into a contract with Dinkins Mobile Homes, Inc. for a twenty four (24) by forty (40) foot mobile home to be used as living quarters at the temporary site located at the Williamson County Agricultural Complex. $ 61,200.00

Background
On January 27th the BOMA approved a lease agreement (2015-0003) between the City of Franklin and Williamson County for the construction and operation of a temporary fire hall (Station 7) on the Williamson County Agricultural Complex. Due to a tragic accident on the morning of August 5, 2014 a gasoline tanker hit the existing bridge abutment and caught fire causing structural damage that it required the removal of the older Peytonsville Rd Bridge and newer bridge that had just been completed. Realizing the need for public safety services in this area, the City Administrator and Fire Department began immediate discussions with our County partners about medical, law enforcement and fire protection needs for the affected area.

An area on the County Complex located on the far southern end of the property was determined to be a suitable spot to build a temporary facility. The site is a small piece of flat ground that will accommodate a pole barn that measures fifty (50) feet in length by thirty (30) feet in width with a large single door that will accommodate one fire apparatus vehicle.
