Purpose
The purpose of this memorandum is to bring forward to the Board of Mayor and Aldermen (BOMA) a proposal from Smith Seckman Reid, Inc. (SSR) to modify their existing Professional Services Agreement for the Hillsboro Road Improvements Project.

Background
On January 22, 2013, the Board of Mayor and Aldermen approved a Professional Services Agreement with SSR for Limited Construction Engineering and Inspection Services for the new Sanitary Sewer and Water Line utilities on the Hillsboro Road Improvements Project Phase 1, SR96W to Independence Square (Phase I). Amendment #1 was approved by BOMA on July 8, 2014, which included fees for additional design and inspection work required to complete the project.

This Amendment #2 includes fees for the following:
1. Additional design to modify sheet W-3 of the Hillsboro Road Improvements Project Phase 2, Independence Square to Mack Hatcher Parkway plans to accommodate a future 12" water line being designed by CDM Smith for the Water Reclamation Facility.
2. Limited construction administration services for water and sewer improvements within the Hillsboro Road Improvements Phase 2 Project. SSR will attend various meetings, review contractor submittals and change order requests, providing engineering assistance during construction, and prepare record drawings.
