body
Purpose
The purpose of this memo is to provide information to the Franklin Board of Mayor and Aldermen (BOMA) concerning COF Contract 2016-0182, services between the State of Tennessee Department of Health and the City of Franklin.
Background
This is a clean-up item. This standard agreement formally states the legal basis for funding health services between the City and the State for the Williamson County Health Department. While a small amount of money is appropriated through the annual budget process, this agreement is a necessary and formal part of delineating which government entity is responsible for providing funds to the Williamson County Health Department. The services defined herein have already been provided; but all contracts approved on behalf of the Board should be formally acknowledged or approved through authority granted by the Board. This item accomplishes just that.
Financial Impact
The City’s financial impact was $19,634 in Fiscal Year 2017. This money has already been paid to the Williamson County Health Department. A further amount is budgeted in FY 2018 and will be distributed throughout the remainder of the fiscal year.
Recommendation
This agreement has been approved through authority previously granted by the Board of Mayor and Aldermen.
