PUBLIC HEARING: Consideration of Initiating the Annexation Process and Draft Plan Of Services, Resolution 2017-13, for the Annexation of Bushnell and Bates Properties, Located at 1495 and 1521 Lewisburg Pike. (04/25/17 Work session)
Body
Purpose
The purpose of this memorandum is to provide information to the Franklin Board of Mayor and Aldermen (BOMA) concerning an annexation request and draft Plan of Services for the properties located at 1495 and 1521 Lewisburg Pike.
Background
This property is contiguous to the city limits along the east side of the property line. The properties immediately to the north and south are large lot estates in Williamson County. The owner(s)/developers of this property would be required to extend City services from Stream Valley PUD Subdivision to Lewisburg Pike. This property is within the Conservation Subdivision Design Concept in Envision Franklin, and the applicant’s desire to develop this property with 14 single-family lots and a 4-unit big house with two accessory dwelling units could be supported by Envision Franklin.
Recommendation
Staff recommends initiating the annexation process.
