Purpose
The purpose of this procurement is to purchase, on an as-needed basis, legal counsel and professional services pertaining to real estate closings for the City's voluntary purchase and sale of real estate or its acquisition by eminent domain for City public works projects and other public purposes, for a term of award of three (3) years with two (2) options to extend, each for up to one (1) year, for a maximum possible term of award of five (5) years total.
Background
Pursuant to Purchasing Office Procurement Solicitation No. 2018-004 and a December 23, 2017 staff recommendation, the Board of Mayor and Aldermen voted on January 23, 2018 to accept and declare responsive and responsible the four (4) submittals received in response to the City's solicitation for real estate closing services. In addition, one more qualified service provider has since been added to the rotation. Of the five (5) service providers that submitted responses, four (4) decided to execute a procurement agreement with the City.
