Purpose
The purpose of this memo is to provide information to the Franklin Board of Mayor and Aldermen (BOMA) concerning COF Contract 2019-0105 with Wood Environment and Infrastructure Solutions Inc. for Technical Support Related to the Cannon Street Sinkhole
Background
The Street Department responded to a sinkhole located at the eastern edge of Cannon Street, south of Battle Avenue. Upon investigation it was determined that it was necessary to seek professional advice from a consulting firm to provide guidance on the repair. Wood Environment and Infrastructure Solutions provided this guidance with respect to repair methodology and onsite guidance.
The repair of the sinkhole is complete. At the time of drafting this memo, the Street Department has scheduled to perform minor grading and hydroseeding in the area.
Financial Impact
The contract value, approved on behalf of the BOMA, is $5,572.
