Purpose

The purpose of this memo is to provide information to the Franklin Board of Mayor and Aldermen (BOMA) concerning a consultant agreement with Burris, Thompson & Associates for the review of the City’s compensation program for competitiveness in the labor market.

 

Background

Burris, Thompson & Associates provides HR consultant services to organizations, including, but not limited to, strategic planning, staffing, development of compensation plans and benefits review. This consultant firm will provide a thorough review of the compensation plan. They will prepare a final report of the comparative data, evaluation of results and provide recommendations.

 

Financial Impact

This agreement for the compensation plan review project will not exceed $14,950. If the City wishes to increase the services with Burris, Thompson & Associates above the outlined agreement, the City will be billed additional hours at the rate of $150 per hour.
