Purpose
The purpose of this memo is to provide information to the Franklin Board of Mayor and Aldermen (BOMA) concerning a contract between the City of Franklin and Tetra Tech, Inc, signed by Eric Stuckey, City Administrator, on behalf of the Board of Mayor and Aldermen
 
Background
The detention ponds located in the area of the City-owned transfer station, at the Municipal Services Complex, need remediation and stabilization. A soil sample, to identify potential problem wastes associated with silt in the bottom of the rear pond, was gathered and tested in November 2014.
 
This agreement is the next step in the process of repair for the ponds. The repairs include re-engineering and repairs for erosional damages, removal of soils, sediment and vegetation that have partially filled the stormwater ponds, importing off-site soil and large stone, grading work and compaction with fescue sod to complete the project.
 
Financial Impact
The cost associated with this Professional Services Agreement between the City and Tetra Tech, Inc is $24,680. This amount is within the $25,000 total budgeted for this project in the FY2015 approved budget.
