body
Purpose
The purpose of this memorandum is to provide information to the Franklin Board of Mayor and Aldermen (BOMA) concerning the inspection of the construction of the new Holiday Court Wastewater Pump Station.
Background
The Holiday Court Wastewater Pump Station design has been completed to upgrade this station from the unsafe and outdated “can” type station to a submersible station. The construction award is anticipated to be presented to a contractor at the first February BOMA meeting. As part of the construction, the Water Management Department would like to initiate services from C&T Engineering & Inspection to act as the City’s representative during the construction of this important project.
C&T Engineering & Inspection will review and provide recommendations on change orders and applications of payment from the contractor, in addition to reviewing all tests results and approvals as required by the Contract documents. They will also provide daily inspection reports of activities at the site with photographs in addition to providing punch lists for the substantial completion walkthrough and the final change order.
Financial Impact
The contract amount of $82,530.00 has been budgeted for in the Wastewater General fund (431-89230-52219) of the Water Management Department.
