Purpose
The purpose of this memo is to provide information to the Franklin Board of Mayor and Aldermen (BOMA) concerning the status of some of the City’s water and sewer projects.

A. Spencer Creek Basin - South Prong Interceptor Upgrade

Status Update: Design plans are currently underway and are approximately 50% complete. Staff and the engineer met in the field to discuss how to route the sewer through Aspen Grove Park. The project will not be constructed until funding is available from the Water Management Department budget.
B. Charlton Green Sanitary Sewer Improvements
Key Dates: Design Start - November 12, 2013; Design Completion - March 2014; Bid Date: April 7, 2014; Construction Start - December 1, 2014; Construction Completion - April 2015
Cost: Design - $19,895.00; Easement - $3,500.00; Construction -$465,304.90

Status Update: The final change order is on the July 2015 Board of Mayor and Aldermen meeting agenda for approval.
C. Spencer Creek at Franklin Road Sewer

Status Update: The CSX permit package is on the July 2015 CIC agenda. Design plans are 100% complete but plans will not be submitted to TDEC for approval until the easements are obtained. Negotiations with the property owners has begun.
D. Curd Branch and Watson Branch Interceptor Sewer

F. Sanitary Sewer System Model and Capacity Assurance Tool - Phase 1

Status Update: The data needed to run the model has been completed. Staff and the engineer are going to meet in the next couple of weeks to go over the tool again now that the data has been completed.
G. Goose Creek Sanitary Sewer Extension Project from West of I65 to the East Side of I65

Status Update: Staff requested that reclaimed water be added to this project. The consultant is working on making revisions to the plans and easements to reflect this request.
