Purpose
The purpose of this memo is to provide information to the Franklin Board of Mayor and Aldermen (BOMA) concerning the status of some of the City's water and sewer projects.
Project Status
A. Spencer Creek Basin - South Prong Interceptor Upgrade
Key Dates: Design Start - April 23, 2013; Design Completion - June 2015*; Bid Date: Not Funded; Construction Start - Not Funded; Construction Completion - Not Funded

Funding Source: Design - Sewer Fund; Easements - TBD; Construction - TBD
Status Update: Design plans are currently underway, but the project will not be constructed until funding is available from the Water Management Department budget.
B. Charlton Green Sanitary Sewer Improvements
Key Dates: Design Start - November 12, 2013; Design Completion - March 2014; Bid Date: April 7, 2014; Construction Start - December 1, 2014; Construction Completion - April 2015
Cost: Design - $19,895.00; Easement - $3,500.00; Construction -$465,304.90
Funding Source: Design -Sewer Operating; Construction - Sewer Fund
Status Update: The final change order is on the June 2015 CIC meeting agenda.
C. Spencer Creek at Franklin Road Sewer

Status Update: The SWPPP has been signed and submitted to TDEC for approval. The TDOT permit to cross Franklin Road has been approved. The CSX permit package was received on May 28, 2015, and has to be reviewed by the Legal Department. TDEC has approved the construction plans. Easement documents have been completed.
D. Curd Branch and Watson Branch Interceptor Sewer

Status Update: Plans have been submitted to TDEC for approval. The easement acquisition process is continuing. The ARAP application has been submitted for review and approval.
E. Fieldstone Farms Pump Station No. 1 Rehabilitation

Status Update: Staff is finalizing the contract documents. The contractor is looking to start work around the last part of June 2015.
F. Sanitary Sewer System Model and Capacity Assurance Tool - Phase 1

Status Update: The engineer is working on completing the data needed to run the model. The tool has been delivered to the City for use.
G. Goose Creek Sanitary Sewer Extension Project from West of I65 to the East Side of I65
