body

Purpose

The purpose of this memo is to provide information to the Franklin Board of Mayor and Aldermen (BOMA) concerning a minor organizational chart change to the City Court.

Background

This proposed change modifies a part-time Deputy Court Clerk by adding the word Cashier to one of the two authorized positions in City Court. Over the last several years, there has been increased synergy and deployment between the Revenue Management Department and the City Court as both have been directed by the same supervisor. This sharing of resources has led to increased efficiencies, but for auditing and internal control purposes, the positions authorized under the budget need one home. This minor change achieves that purpose.

Financial Impact

There will be minimal to no financial impact in FY 2020 as a result of Resolution 2019-125.
