SUBJECT:

Acknowledgement of COF Contract No. 2018-0266 Terms and Conditions for TRAFx Data Net Renewal.

body

Purpose

The purpose of this memorandum is to provide information to the Franklin Board of Mayor and Aldermen (BOMA) concerning the renewal of the existing service between the City of Franklin and TRAFx Data Net for the use of their online database.

Background

In 2014, the Parks Department entered into an agreement with TRAFx Data Net for the purchase of traffic counters and access to their online database. The traffic counters are used by the Parks Department to track event attendance for budget and benchmarking purposes. Every five years, the agreement must be renewed to continue accessing the TRAFx Data Net online database where the information from the traffic counters is stored. The traffic counters are incompatible with any other service, so without the database access, the equipment is obsolete.

Financial Impact

The total cost for the renewal is $500.00 for five years of access to the database.

Recommendation

Based on authority granted by the Board of Mayor and Aldermen, the City Administrator approved the contract renewal on behalf of the Board. This memorandum is to inform the Board of Mayor and Aldermen of the signed agreement (attached).
