SUBJECT:                                          Report of Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) between the 21st Judicial Drug Task Force and The City of Franklin Police Department. Contract No. 2018-0147.

Purpose

The purpose of this memorandum is to provide information to the Franklin Board of Mayor and Aldermen (BOMA) concerning information on the Memorandum of Understanding Between the 21st Judicial Drug Task Force and the City of Franklin Police Department regarding the cooperative undertaking to disrupt the illicit manufacturing, sales, distribution, and trafficking of illegal drugs within the City of Franklin and Williamson County, Tennessee.

 

Background

The parties, finding that the manufacturing, distribution and trafficking of narcotics is a significant threat to the City of Franklin and Williamson County, Tennessee. Upon being fully executed, this Memorandum of Understanding shall be effective for the period of one year.

 

Financial Impact

The Franklin Police Department will provide the 21st Drug Task Force with a financial contribution of $5000.00.
