body

Purpose

The purpose of this memorandum is to provide information to the Franklin Board of Mayor and Aldermen (BOMA) concerning the immediate need for hydraulic modeling support for the area on the southeastern portion of town that is rapidly developing.

Background

The area south of Peytonsville Road is developing with increased water usage projections based upon development plans.  This modeling effort will identify if any short-term improvements are needed to improve the system based upon data collected from the current system and project demands of the developments.  This contract will be part of a large contract conduct modelling over the entire distribution system.

Financial Impact

The cost for services with Hazen and Sawyer is $9,000 for services related to modeling the water pressures and flows for this service area.

Recommendation

Approval of the PSA with Hazen and Sawyer for an amount not-to-exceed $9,000 was given by the City Administrator under authority granted by BOMA.
