Purpose

The purpose of this memorandum is to provide information to the Franklin Board of Mayor and Aldermen (BOMA) concerning a Resolution to Extend the Employment Contract with City Administrator, Eric S. Stuckey.

Background

The Board entered into an Employment Agreement with City Administrator Eric Stuckey effective January 1, 2016, with an initial four-year term and two additional one-year terms (COF Contract No. 2015-0349).  The parties agreed that the Board would give Mr. Stuckey notice no later than December 31, 2018, notice of its intent to extend, not extend, or renegotiate the Agreement. The Mayor recommends the Board extend the Agreement for two (2) years, running from January 2020 through December 31, 2021. An amendment will need to be drafted to effectuate the terms.

Financial Impact

This position is budgeted for within the approved FY19 budget.
