Consideration of City of Franklin Contract No. 2018-0084 for a Professional Services Agreement (PSA) with Tuck Hinton Architects for Master Planning of the Park at Harlinsdale Farm in the amount not to exceed $39,450.  (06/26/18 WS)

body

Purpose

The purpose of this memorandum is to provide information to the Franklin Board of Mayor and Aldermen (BOMA) concerning entering into a professional service agreement for architectural services for an updated master plan for the Park at Harlinsdale Farm.  The Master Plan will include three main structures (the Main Barn, Hayes Home, the former Power House Plant), two worker houses, and a pedestrian bridge with a walking trail.

Background

In 2005, the Parks Department master planned the entire 199-acres and was more of an overview of the site. The objective of the updated master plan is to evaluate specific structures and develop concepts that broaden their usefulness and provide an updated opinion of costs for planning, budgeting and potential partnership opportunities.

Financial Impact

The consultant shall be paid monthly for work performed based on a fee schedule as contained in Attachment A in the amount not to exceed $39,450.
