Purpose
The purpose of this memo is to provide information to the Franklin Board of Mayor and Aldermen (BOMA) concerning outside counsel services for Right-of-Way and Slope Easement on Lewisburg Pike.
Background
It is recommended that the law firm of Miller & Martin, PLLC provide legal representation on behalf of the City of Franklin concerning the Right-of-Way and Slope Easements on Lewisburg Pike. The terms of representation have been outlined and Miller & Martin, PLLC is in receipt of the City’s Law Department Policy and Procedures for Outside Counsel. The Law Department has requested that Attorney Douglas Berry and his staff take precautionary measures to become familiar with the terms of the Policy.
Financial Impact
The current rates/hour for contract work are as follows:
• Attorneys - $265.00/hr
• Associates-$195.00/hr
• Paralegals -$65.00/hr
• Copying costs -$.20/page
